CASTLE RIDGE  GARDEN

02

Honored to have been one of a few gardeners and landscapers to work on this historical, 1920s manor home perched on high on Westcliff’s stone ridge.  A Heritage home this garden was more of a restoration project and a process of elimination. The discovery of an old photograph with a rose garden from the time when the house was built ,inspired the removal of the tennis courts and existing faux rock swimming pool, instead making way for a classically designed rose garden and formalized lawns, clean garden lines demarcate flowerbeds planted up with good old fashioned Johannesburg planting schemes and no fuss rose cultivars.  My client herself a gardener opens the garden once a year and the garden has become a way to give back to charity.
